RHINO-LITE TECHNOLOGY

Rhino-Lite technology starts with a molded core of water tight fused cell foam. The core is wrapped with fiberglass cloth with extra material on the rails and a thin veneer of wood on the deck to prevent heel dents. The board is placed in a heated vacuum mold, with expanding epoxy resin. The heat and expanding pressure ensures that the resin completely laminates the skin to the core, creating a light and tough board that is resistant to dings and delamination. Rhino-Lite technology is the best combination of weight, durability, and value on the market.

BAMBOO/CARBON TECHNOLOGY

Bamboo/Carbon technology starts with a molded core of water tight fused cell foam, and laminates it with exotic skin materials. The bottom uses a layer of Carbon/Innegra to add stiffness and save weight. The deck has a layer of exposed Bamboo that resists denting and creates a stunning look. The finished boards are 10% – 12% lighter than Rhino-Lite boards, and still just as tough.

FUSION-TECH TECHNOLOGY

Fusion-Tech technology starts with a molded core of water tight fused cell foam, which is wrapped with fiberglass layers and a small wood patch in the standing area to prevent heel dents. The board is placed in a heated vacuum mold, with expanding epoxy resin. The heat and expanding pressure ensures that the resin completely laminates the skin to the core, creating a light and tough board that is resistant to dings and delamination. This process is similar to Rhino-Lite construction, and far better than the hand laminated boards you find in this price range, because it will last much longer without delaminating and sucking up water. The EVA deck-pad covers the whole deck and rails, so it is easy on the knees, great for kids and yoga, and won’t scratch or ding due to small mis-haps. The rails are then covered with a 3” wide Gator Skin strip to resist damage from paddles and parking lots.

CARBON CUSTOM TECHNOLOGY

Carbon Custom technology starts with a CNC milled core that exactly matches the shape designed by John Amundson. This core is then laminated with a Carbon/Kevlar bottom, a Carbon/Innegra deck, a high density PVC foam sandwich in the cockpit area, and thin layers of fiberglass. This results in the stiffest, lightest boards we make. They are a little more fragile than the Rhino-Lite boards, but well suited to paddlers who want the very best.
